本片與描寫悠閑日常的短篇故事不同，是為了劇場電影化而由原作者中村光所描寫的原作小故事。廣闊宇宙中為數(shù)眾多的一顆璀璨閃耀的生命之星——地球，平安度過世紀(jì)末的神之子耶穌和開悟佛的佛陀，一邊感受著日本的四季變化，一邊在下界享受著秘密的休假。兩人住在東京立川沒有浴室的6張榻榻米的一間公寓，分享冰淇淋，在附近的商店街享受抽獎，結(jié)成搞笑組合。某天，來自天界的使者出現(xiàn)在過著悠閑日常生活的兩人身邊，傳達(dá)了禁斷的提議。不久，神、佛、天使、惡魔混雜在一起，與意想不到的地球滅亡危機(jī)聯(lián)系在一起！?
